All emergency standby generators must be serviced every 6 months. When diesel generators are used to provide prime power, then servicing must take place every 400 - 450 hours. • Service Visit A - this includes over 50 checks, cleaning and a report.  What's included within an 'A' Service?
• Service Visit B - this includes over 50 checks, load tests, cleaning and a report.  What's included within a 'B' Service?

Maintenance Reports

Our Generator Engineer service and maintenance reports during each service include:

• Environment: Check the generator environment for debris, check the ventilation vents are clear of any air flow blockages, any signs of vandalism or damage to the generator containment.
• Generator Load: Check the generator load is balanced and stable across the 3 phases.
• Leaks: Check the generator for any leaks.Generator ATS panel: Check that the ATS auto changeover is operational.
• Generator Batteries: Carry out a battery test checking the health of the battery regards Cranking and CCA output. Check for signs of leakage or corroded terminals.
• Diesel Fuel: Check the fuel tank is full and clean. Collect a fuel sample to analyse and provide a report.
• Coolant: Check the coolant is topped up and not degraded.
• Oil: Check the Quality and level. Collect an oil sample to provide a report.
• Control Panel: Check the display is functional and visible.
• Battery Charger: Check its operational.
• Engine block heater: Check its operational and not burnt out.
• User recommendations: Actions needed. Urgent and housekeeping report.
