What is Power System Protection?
Power protection entails installing systems that ensure an independent power supply during outages, primarily through uninterruptible power supplies backed by diesel generators. Despite the abundance of electricity sources like coal, gas, hydro, nuclear, wind, and solar, events such as natural disasters and infrastructure issues make power protection essential for critical sectors like hospitals, military, and government operations. Firstly, what do we mean by the term ‘Power Protection’?
