Deep Sea Controller – How To Test A Generator OFF Load – DSE 6110
To perform a manual off load test on a generator, follow these steps: 1. Turn the generator breaker to the OFF position. 2. Press the Manual Mode button once. 3. Ensure the Manual Mode LED is lit and the display shows Manual Mode. 4. Press the green Start button for about 2 seconds to initiate the engine start for the off load test. If the engine doesn't start, check for faults and fuel level, then repeat the starting process. 6. Run the engine for approximately 5 minutes. 7. Press the red OFF button to stop the engine. 8. Press the Auto button to switch back, verifying the Auto LED is lit and the display shows Auto Mode. Finally, return the generator breaker to the ON position. 1. Turn Breaker on the Generator to OFF position.

2. Press Manual Mode button on display ONCE only.

3. Check Manual Mode LED is lit.

4. Check Display Reads Manual Mode.

5. PRESS GREEN Start Button for Approx 2 seconds Engine will start up and begin the OFF load test

Close generator door until the test is over.
5.b If Engine fails to start, check screen for any faults, check fuel level clear faults using reference manual if possible.
5.c Repeat steps 4 – 5.
5.d If engine still fails to start contact Power continuity Systems 0845 055 8455.
6. Run Engine for approximately 5 Minutes.
Press RED OFF Button ONCE to STOP engine.

Press Auto Button ONCE and check Auto LED is illuminated.

Check Display Reads Auto Mode.

When the OFF Load test in Complete Turn the Breaker on the Generator back to ON position.
